Total Recall (1990)

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

When a man goes in to have virtual vacation memories of the planet Mars implanted in his mind, an unexpected and harrowing series of events forces him to go to the planet for real - or is he?

Michael Ironside had a cracked rib during the shooting of the elevator fight scene between Richter and Doug Quaid. He managed to get through the filming by wearing a rib guard that belonged to former LA Raiders quarterback Jim Plunkett for protection.
During the fight on the elevator, Quaid breaks Richter's arm, yet he is able to pull himself back up onto the elevator and hold on without any sign of pain.
When Richter and Helm are waiting by the hotel's service elevator for Lori to bring down Quaid and realize something is wrong, they run over to a normal elevator and go up, yet they end up coming out of the service elevator on the sixth floor.
When Quaid and Richter are fighting on the elevator, Quaid throws Richter into the back of the elevator and it wobbles, revealing it's made of soft material.
Richter tells Lori to bring down Quaid in the service elevator, but when the elevator arrives on the sixth floor the up button instead of the down button is lit.
When Quaid/Hauser shot Lori in the forehead, she lay dead face up. However when Richter entered the room from the elevator, he had to turn her head in order to see her face.
During the reactor elevator scene when Richter's arms are disembodied and he falls down, Quaid holds the remaining arms and says "See you at the party, Richter!". When he throws the arms off the elevator in the far shot, you see the arms fall behind the platform of the elevator, but you do not see them fall past the platform and instead they just disappear.
